David S. Rose – Entrepreneurship

I found a great video called David S. Rose - Entrepreneurship. It's a great video and it has some great tips and I hope you enjoy it.
David S. Rose, Track Chair for Finance and Entrepreneurship at Singularity University, and Chairman of the New York Angels investment association, discusses the essence of entrepreneurship. Filmed at the Graduate Studies Program 2011, NASA Ames, California. Hope you loved it. Ernesto

I recommend every entrepreneur goes through this . I could relate to all the situations cited. The hypomaniac? attributes are spot on. I also like his humor and energy. Even though it was a long video, I was glued.

Jonathan, I’m sorry that you don’t agree with some of the points I was making. While it’s true that "entrepreneurship" defies precise quantification, that doesn’t mean it is not a valid subject for study. The survey was by Professor John Gartner of Hopkins, and formed the basis for his book "The Hypomanic Edge". I highly recommend it if you are interested in the topic. For what it’s worth, the majority? of entrepreneurs who have heard this presentation strongly agree with its major themes. -DSR

This guy uses bogus statistics (like *asking* people to rate themselves in a survey), overblown theories and over generalizations. He throws around? a mish-mash of environmental factors that supposedly make up an entrepeneur without bothering to prove causal relationships. I don’t think entrepreneurship is something you can measure or predict. Game-changing ideas can’t be anticipated in advance, that’s why they’re game-changing.
